Meh. That's pretty much how I sum up my feelings. I mean, I understand it's the first book and having read later ones, I know that the writing does improve but for the most part, this installment left me unimpressed. The ending just happened in an instant and I almost missed the conclusion as I got to the last few pages. Still, it's a decent introduction to the series, I believe it's the first book, it's good enough for me to read the second one.
